Nature is the natural world, the world in which we live. It is the world of plants and animals, of the land and water, of the sun and moon, of the wind and stars. It is the world of our ancestors, the world that existed before we were born.
Nature is not just the environment around us. It is also the inner life of ourselves. It is the place where we are connected to our deepest selves, our spiritual essence. In nature, we can see the power of God, the source of all creation.
The world of nature is a world of wonder and awe. We see the beauty of the flowers, the majesty of the trees, the strength of the rocks, the speed of the rivers, the depth of the oceans, the mystery of the night sky, the strength of the wind, the subtlety of the rain, the gentleness of the snow.
We see the magnificence of the world, the perfection of its design. And we are awed by it. We feel humbled by it. We are reminded that we are small and insignificant in the face of such greatness.
Nature is not only a beautiful thing; it is a powerful thing. It is a force for good. It brings out the best in us, makes us more generous, more loving, more compassionate. It inspires us to be creative, to build, to create, to invent. It gives us courage, makes us bold. It makes us strong, makes us brave. It gives us energy, makes us vigorous. It makes us healthy, makes us happy.
When we live close to nature, we are more likely to be kind, more likely to be caring, more likely to be thoughtful. We are more likely to be grateful. We are more likely to have faith. We are more likely to believe in God.
But the opposite is also true. When we live far from nature, we are less likely to be kind, less likely to be caring, less likely to be thoughtful. We become more selfish. We become more self-absorbed. We become less trusting. We become less hopeful. We become less grateful. We become less tolerant. We become less loving. We become less imaginative. We become less creative. We become less courageous. We become less brave. We become less energetic. We become less vigorous. We become less healthy. We become less happy. We become less faithful. We become less religious.
There is no question that living close to nature has many benefits. But there is also no question that living far from nature has many negative consequences.
If we want to live closer to nature, we need to find ways to get back to the earth. We need to reconnect with the natural world. We need to get back to our roots. We need to get back in touch with the natural world.
